Description
National Registrations from 1970 supply
us with the following information:
Boat house: 17x8 m (outer measures), situated 500 m east north east of the barn at farm nr. 92/12. The site lies about 1, 5 m above and 8 m from the flow tide level.
Information from registrations 1979 from Topographical Archive:
Boat house and burial cairn situated in outlaying fields, 330 m eastof the houses at farm nr.92/12. The boat house measure: 18x6.5 m (outer measures) and is situated 20 m from the sea, and 1 m above the flow level tide. 4 m from the northern part of the site is:
Burial cairn:4 m in dm, height: 0.5 m.
The boathouse were registered in detail by Gøril Nilsen in 1998, and given relative datings sites:
Boat house nr. 46: 12.0/3.0 (wide/length), suggested dating: AD 1000
Boat house nr. 56: 7.7/3.4 M (wide/length), suggested dating: Early Iron Age.
The boat house which partly covers the burial mound is probably site nr. 2
