Description
A rather large boat-house dwelling is
situated at Holsneset. The structure is oriented
South - North, situated just beside a smaller bay
on the south-side of Holsøya. The area is
considered as suitable for landing boats as it is
sheltered behind low-lying mountains. Maybe this
area was in use by a chieftain?
The size of the boat-house is rather large with a length of 40 metres, which is large enough to house a boat of tredvesesse (60 men rowing).
