Excavation Details
During the main excavations of the Borg
area from 1986-1989, a possible house foundation
was found West of House I:Ia (Chieftains house).
Traces of post holes, and finds of charcoal in the
cultural layers, was dated AD 245-425. The terms
due to this time span is referred to as Roman
Period and Migration Period, and comprise the Early
Iron Age. A hone of quartzite was found in this
area.
