Description
This very large burial-cairn is one of
the most spectacular sites on
Vestvågøy. Over the last centuries,
the size has diminished, due to re-use of the
construction material in stone-fences in the area.
Restoration work is rebuilding the cairn. The
structure was probably constructed during the Roman
period
Access/Ownership
The cairn is accessible and visible from the main
road. From the parking place at the top of the pass
you can enjoy a panoramic view and also see the
cairn.
