Excavation Details
There was an exploratory excavation by
Craw in 1928. Underneath the mound of earth and a
number of boulders a layer of charcoal was
discovered but no cists or burials were found.
Description
There is what appears to be a
prehistoric barrow between the road and
Ballymeanoch Henge monument. It measures about 30m
in diameter and 1.4m high.
Access/Ownership
This site is on private land and permission should
be sought.
