Teenager's Poems 1996 to 2003
As these poems were written between 1996 and 2003 by teenagers who are now adults, the surnames have been left off. If you want to reclaim a poem and have your name attached please contact teenmag@irelandcalls.com. We can add your name or remove the poem. Better still, give us a paragraph about yourself to add to your poem.

Butterfly Love by Liz
Love is like a butterfly It's life having to start with so much risk Striving with pain and ache to prove itself worthy To live and survive And once it does there is never an awkward moment For butterfly love is so majestic, So powerful, That this small beauty and blessing of life blows you away Until you are almost blind, With shock at the complexity and at the same time the pure simplicity of it all That is held inside two people, That is held inside a butterfly, That is forever and so wholly existent In a world that doesn't allow things to last forever In a world that doesn't allow butterfly love
