Teenager's Poems 1996 to 2003
As these poems were written between 1996 and 2003 by teenagers who are now adults, the surnames have been left off. If you want to reclaim a poem and have your name attached please contact teenmag@irelandcalls.com. We can add your name or remove the poem. Better still, give us a paragraph about yourself to add to your poem.

Get Well Soon by Amy Carolyn
It's no fun being sick after the months of June Watching T.V. is about all you can do flipping from soap-opera to cartoon Having the nurse come in with questionable medicine on a spoon Making you feel worse for the better like a loon It's very hot while the sun is high and bright at noon Seeing a western with cowboys drinking whiskey and spitting in a spittoon After you've eaten you fade into a nap then you awake from the lagoon Loved ones standing with fresh flowers and a big balloon Small grandchildren screaming and running around the room Now it's late outside the window hangs a man in a full moon All is quiet except the annoying noise of a cute raccoon But smile, relax, and most of all please get well soon!!!
