Teenager's Poems 1996 to 2003
As these poems were written between 1996 and 2003 by teenagers who are now adults, the surnames have been left off. If you want to reclaim a poem and have your name attached please contact teenmag@irelandcalls.com. We can add your name or remove the poem. Better still, give us a paragraph about yourself to add to your poem.

Got To Be There by Colman
Chaos, curia, bewilderment, illusion We join the spidery network of intersection and confusion Immersing ourselves with the frustrated and bewildered hordes Does anybody know the rules on these murdering roads?
No time, wrong place, got to be there No space, must race but to where? Got to be there.
Motorways with tailbacks, tollbooths that are closed Who is in authority, somebody must be told Temporary lights, man with stop-go But we are in a hurry do they not know?
No time, wrong place, got to be there No space, must race but to where? Got to be there.
Government cutbacks, railways must be closed Lorries that carry extra heavy loads Garda, speeding points, castle walls and fairy trees But I've a new car do they not care for my needs?
No time, wrong place, got to be there No space, must race but to where? Got to be there.
