Teenager's Poems 1996 to 2003
As these poems were written between 1996 and 2003 by teenagers who are now adults, the surnames have been left off. If you want to reclaim a poem and have your name attached please contact teenmag@irelandcalls.com. We can add your name or remove the poem. Better still, give us a paragraph about yourself to add to your poem.

I Love You by Rachel
In an age where innocence ran rampant and love was divine there you were an icon of a life everyone desired but one which had been long forgotten I saw your smile in the days of youth a never-ending crescent upon your chubby, childish face I left you to your doings because they made you most happy a quiet, carefree child as you grew older, your aspect developed until you became somewhat more than what you were no longer frolicking through endless days of play introspective, thinking hard on life and the reason for yours and you reached the point, as we all do where you considered that maybe your life had no reason I let you keep your thoughts I didn't force them out of you because I hated that when I was young, too you grew into a lovely person I began to truly enjoy your company not as a child but more as a sweet and naive adult age began to set in you became thoughtless, forgetful but always smiling, wide across your wrinkled face and I never stopped loving you it was a sad day when they lowered you into the ground a six-foot hole hardly seemed to do you justice you deserved your playground again to return to the innocent age could youth last, the world would follow you
