Teenager's Poems 1996 to 2003
As these poems were written between 1996 and 2003 by teenagers who are now adults, the surnames have been left off. If you want to reclaim a poem and have your name attached please contact teenmag@irelandcalls.com. We can add your name or remove the poem. Better still, give us a paragraph about yourself to add to your poem.

The Poison Chalice by Brian
The foolish woman lives in such vain bliss Only never to know the lesser man's kiss Her striking beauty she feels is such That she should never know the laymen's touch Only rich and noble fingers may run through her hair But for beauty and bosom they only care Her sorrow grows as nuptials fade She feels frightened as she watches her beauty degrade And as her beauty degrades so does grow her fear And once alone she sheds a solitary tear She looks in the mirror to see her once beautiful looks now turned haggard and trodden She was conceived, begotten, married but now ultimately forgotten.
