Teenager's Poems 1996 to 2003
As these poems were written between 1996 and 2003 by teenagers who are now adults, the surnames have been left off. If you want to reclaim a poem and have your name attached please contact teenmag@irelandcalls.com. We can add your name or remove the poem. Better still, give us a paragraph about yourself to add to your poem.

We watch the television, and brous with our mouse and listen to the radios we possess in our homes so line us up like organic mechanics and feed us your robot ways and let us forget our days of importance so blame the next for your mistakes in this capitalism we decay or humanity let them be slaves again the african people from their descent and let ignorance ring around their neck our necklace of death but I love this country maybe not its laws I break and run for my freedom carved the stars and chism the stripes of blue and white, as it hangs torn high in the sky the pryamid on the back of the dollar symbols a new world order its pyramid unfinished from brick and masons encases the sphere for the cubes and diamonds we gambol in the violence so much hidden anger, lets bring it out and put it on the table feast on the arrogance, I live homeless in this world power the taste is sour, but I'm trying not to be devoured and eaten from the inside, by this beast only giving the civilians freedom of speech sitting in their court supreme so they can imprison the just and meek from the fire arms that go through sixteen teens and watch them bleed, in their upper class society so now we have a problem now we agree things can't be as they be but what about the other gene of people that run the streets selling drugs so they can eat and feed their children and the cops search them for methamphetamines you know the ghetto the population that built this country on slavery but I still love you america and wish us the glory our foundation will pervade the world from their ways made into one game, I hold my head in shame and we complain about work when others around the world are maimed and driven insane across the oceans drowning for freedom just so their children can be saved knowing life is sweet here, and we crave the taste of butchering another's race for their five minutes of fame gangs fighting gangs, shooting then taking names behind alley ways I saw the innocent slain for a few pennies and paper we live for wealth, but we lost the spirit of nature I'm caught in this rapture so I find laughter inside myself, but what are you after are you after pleasure or murder while I'm after the poets hunger like silent thunder all will listen, but our transgression walks dead in front of the rightious I love you, dear...................................
