Traditional Irish Music Sessions, pubs etc.
Traditional Irish music 'sessions' are an integral part of the Irish culture and tradition. A 'session' is an informal - sometimes impromptu - gathering of amateur musicians in a pub or other venue, for a communal celebration of traditional music. It is a very entertaining experience for both audience and participants alike. There can be a variety of instruments and the musicians may or may not have played together before, but in a short few minutes the whole venue is filled with music.
