Comhaltas Branch sites
Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann is the principal Irish organisation dedicated to the preservation and promotion of traditional Irish music, song, dance and the Irish language. Founded in 1951 in Mullingar, County Westmeath by a group of traditional pipers it has over 400 branches worldwide, all of which promote Irish music and culture among the Irish people and the Irish diaspora.
As well as the promotion of Irish music and language, Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann aims to create a closer bond among its exponents and to co-operate with all groups working for the restoration of Irish culture. In order to achieve its aims and objectives CCE foster and promote their many branches throughout Ireland and abroad.
