Croke Park, Dublin

county dublinThe historical home and principal stadium of the Gaelic Athletic Association, Croke Park has a capacity for 82,300 people and is the third largest stadium in Europe. With a tradition that is steeped in history and a prime location in the centre of Dublin, Croke Park holds a special place in the hearts of the Irish people.

Only a 15 minute walk from O'Connell St, since 1884 Croke Park has been used to host Gaelic games, most popularly the annual All-Ireland Senior Football and Senior Hurling Championships. Affectionately referred to as 'Croker' it has also played host to many major international acts and spectacular concerts. Croke Park was the venue for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2003 Special Olympics.
