Teenager's Poems 1996 to 2003
As these poems were written between 1996 and 2003 by teenagers who are now adults, the surnames have been left off. If you want to reclaim a poem and have your name attached please contact teenmag@irelandcalls.com. We can add your name or remove the poem. Better still, give us a paragraph about yourself to add to your poem.

Alone by Alanna
The moon, it rises Full and bright, But no stars stand by it In the night. I've watched the birds All fly away Into the sky Of ghastly grey. I can only fear tonight Will be as sad as today For I cannot stand to be alone. I see happiness shining through But still I cry With gentle coo. It seems my happiness Contains little at all When the amount that I need Is so very small. Oh, where is the light To shine upon my weary day? I cannot be happy all alone. And if my heart It breaks in two I'm sorry if It hurts you. The cold rain streaks Across my face To hide warm tears And bitter disgrace. And I'll wait alone tonight For what? I'm not sure. I may find love while I'm alone.
