For most people their wedding is the biggest party they are likely to plan in their entire lives. Budgeting for such an occasion is a tricky business and you need to be realistic about it. From the total cost of the wedding, approx 40-50% of the money is spent on the reception, including food, cake and decorations. The remainder goes on wedding attire, stationary, photography/videography, flowers, music and transportation.
